Switchyard runs without a cloud account. Runtime integrations are optional and reported as capabilities rather than hidden installation assumptions.

Docker: Optional. Install Docker Engine/Desktop and the Compose plugin only for Compose projects.
Git: Required for repository metadata, worktrees, source-control status, and repository-scoped actions.
Browser: A current Chromium, Firefox, or Safari-family browser for the loopback web UI.
Local storage: Space for the SQLite control database, bounded logs, metric history, and desktop preferences.
